Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third child of five. Their mother, Beverly (Bushfield) she was a homemaker, and her dad, Thad Harold Harden was an active soldier. She first developed an interest in theater while staying alongside her parents in Greece and going to plays in Athens. Harden began her college education at American colleges in Europe and returned to the US for her final education in the University of Texas in 1983 and then earned an MFA at NYU, and, thereafter was able to begin her acting career. Harden had already appeared in one film in 1986 with The Imagemaker, but her first major role was in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers funny, humorous tribute to the gangster genre. Harden was praised for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna as a stunning, mischievous woman. Harden then worked in supporting parts. She was in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic of Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
